Introduction of Aciloc Injection
Aciloc Injection is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.
Aciloc Injection works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps to provide relief in acid related indigestion and heartburn. It is given as an injection into the veins under the supervision of the doctor. Take this medicine in dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Before taking this medicine it is better to inform doctor if you have any kidney disease as dose of your medicine needs to be adjusted. Moreover, your doctor may advice for regular monitoring for kidney function also. Remember it is better to avoid cigarette smoking when you are taking this medicine to achieve better results.
It is well tolerated and safe medicine with a very low incidence of side effects. However, there can be side effects like headache and it also causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. In some cases it may cause constipation also but increase in fluid intake can be helpful in this condition also. In rare cases it may cause serious side effects like bone marrow hypoplasia (decreased formation of blood cell components) or anaphylactic shock. »

How Aciloc Injection works
Aciloc Injection is a H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.
Aciloc Injection related warnings
Alcohol
UNSAFE
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Aciloc Injection Alcohol use can increase acid secretion, acid reflux in food pipe causing heartburn and decreasing effect of this drug. Aciloc Injection can also decrease alcohol breakdown and increase its level in blood.
Pregnancy
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Aciloc Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Lactation
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Aciloc Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving

Aciloc Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Aciloc Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Aciloc Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Aciloc Injection?
If you miss a dose of Aciloc Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
